Contra Costa Christian's Private School Satellite Program exists to bring the Christian community together to help Christian families educate their children from home. Our goal is to work with the homes and churches to produce graduates who love God, view the world from His perspective and are academically and spiritually equipped to be godly members of society.
CCCS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and holds membership in Christian Schools International (CSI). |

Mrs. Solnok, Director of our Satellite Program, started her journey with the homeschool community seventeen years ago. As a mother of two young men, she started the journey of teaching her children at home, having no idea that her journey would end twelve years later. It was during those twelve years, that she realized her love for mentoring other mothers and she started the mentoring program at Homebuilders in East County.
It was a natural extension to then join the community of homeschool families at Contra Costa Christian Schools. Mrs. Solnok loves to use her gifts of mentoring and teaching to help parents realize their goals for each of their children. She missed teaching children so much that in 2008 she developed and taught classes specifically designed for homeschool students (Art in Nature and English Literature for the young child). These classes were so loved they’ve been continued through 2009-2010 with new and exciting literature to be studied .
Prior to her homeschool journey, Sue worked in her community as a bookkeeper and personal secretary to a Vice President at the New York Life Insurance Co. She attended both Westmont College and Simpson University and majored in Psychology and Drama.
If you have any questions regarding the opportunities available at Contra Costa Christian, please contact Sue (contact information above).

General Information
The Private School Satellite Program (PSP) is for Christian families who choose to home
school their kindergarten-12th grade children. At Contra Costa Christian Schools
(CCCS), we believe that home schooling is one valid way to educate children, and, in
some cases, may be the most appropriate way to educate your children.
PHILOSOPHY
Home schooling is one way to meet the Biblical mandate to train up children. It takes into account the gifting of the home teacher, the lifestyle of the family, and the needs of the individual student. As in all areas of life, home teachers should be accountable to someone and should be able to seek guidance and help from that authority. That is where our home school director comes into play, as the authority at our school, she supports and encourages our homeschooling families.
The Contra Costa community recognizes the unique contributions home schooling makes to our community. To help parents realize their Christian educational goals within their homes, CCCS will provide the home teacher and the individual student with as many services and opportunities as possible.
