Contra Costa Christian Preschool is privileged to serve the community by providing a safe and loving environment where our program helps shepherd young children through the most influential years of their life. Our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) and Jr-Kindergarten (JK) programs help foster good self-esteem using Biblical truths to lead the children to an understanding that they are loved unconditionally by God.
Children are guided to become socially competent in a setting where they can develop spiritually, physically, emotionally, and academically. Large and fine motor skills are addressed daily through circle time, art, learning centers, and music/movement activities. Our program is designed to fully prepare students for kindergarten.
Students in our program don’t have to be toilet trained and our students are:
Pre-School - 3 years old by September 1
Pre-Kindergarten - 4 years old by September 1
Jr-Kindergarten - 5 years old by January 31
We are excited to announce that we have expanded our hours of operation for the Preschool. We offer three different programs to accommodate our families.
Preschool morning program 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
School day program 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Full day program 7:00 am to 6:00 pm |

Mrs. Cordy Porto, Director of Contra Costa Christian Preschool, has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked at various preschools in the bay area. She decided to go into Early Childhood education because of her love for children and her realization that God was calling her to the preschool education field. Cordy especially enjoys helping young children discover the joy of learning. Her hobbies include knitting, crochet, rosemaling (Norwegian-style painting), arts and crafts, as well as many outdoor activities. Her gift of creativity is carried over to her classroom where she helps to create a preschool experience that is fun, positive and memorable.
Prior to getting her degree, Cordy held various management and accounting positions including Vice President of a printing company.
